Director Job Search for 2014-15 School Year
After ten years, our current director is relocating, leaving an important vacancy in the charter school movement. Yuba River Charter School, now in its 20th year, has begun a search for a new school leader for the 2014/15 school year. At 2500 feet in the Sierra Foothills of California, YRCS is a prek-8 Waldorf Charter of 350 students. There are currently three school sites with a 16 acre building project in process under a $10 million budget. All of the full-time teachers are Waldorf trained and the parent body is firmly committed to Waldorf education. The Director will serve a school board comprised of faculty, parents, and community members and will be the link between the internal workings of the school and the parent council and educational foundation.
An ideal candidate will have a Waldorf background, demonstrated leadership experience, and preferably teaching experience. Advanced degrees and/or teaching and administrative credentials are highly desired.
