Letter from Board Chair, Kathy Eldredge

Letter from Board Chair, Kathy Eldredge

Dear YRCS Parents and Community Members,

As the board chair I want to write you all and thank you for your support and steadfastness during this trying time. Your attendance during the Public Comment portion of our meetings, your letters, emails and phone calls have done much to help guide the board through all of this. So many comments have been heartfelt and in the spirit of love and support for our Waldorf school. There has not been one inappropriate or mean-spirited comment in the lot. This speaks volumes to the incredible heart that this community possesses.  I want to applaud your efforts to curb innuendo, gossip and insinuation.  In all of this confusion, I see a positive force moving – that of empowerment of voice on the part of parents and faculty as well as an active engagement in the direction of our school. Your message has been loud and clear: “we want our children to be educated in a Waldorf inspired curriculum.” That is why I am volunteering to be on your board and that is what keeps me centered and resolved during this time. This has been a huge learning process for us all.

Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions and concerns. (keldredge@sbcglobal.net)

Sincerely,

Kathy Eldredge
