Sierra Streams Institute’s Watershed Science Education Program

All homeschool parents are invited to come learn about Sierra Streams Institute’s Watershed Science Education Program.

Come visit our beautiful facilities to meet the teachers and scientists, tour our scientific laboratories, and learn about our programs! Your student will have the opportunity to participate in a 5 or 10-week course that includes hands on curriculum located in the field and in our laboratory.

Our Homeschool Science Series explores watershed science activities in depth for students studying at grade levels 3-5 and 6-8. Our goal of this semester long program is to empower youth and connect students to the natural world. We will meet once a week at the Sierra Streams lab and in the field. Students will gain hands on experience as they use contemporary scientific research tools and techniques to collect and analyze data. Led by our trained and experienced science teachers, students work in our fully equipped lab and in the field, conducting water-quality testing, assessing stream health, and restoring habitat. Your student will question, investigate, explore and discover.
