26 Mar Proposed Cell Phone Policy
Dear Parents & Staff,
As most of you know, the school has been working for several months on creating a Cell Phone Policy that reflects the values of YRCS. The last proposed draft went to the Board of Directors earlier in the school year and was sent back for several revisions. In the end, the Board felt it could not pass the policy as it didn’t reflect the needs of the parents and students. Over the last few months, and with the help of several parents, we have drafted a policy that we feel reflects both they needs of the teachers and administration as well as the needs and rights of the students. We invite you to read the proposed policy and submit any comments to susan@yubariverschool.org.
The Board of Directors will discuss the proposed policy at the April 8 board meeting and hope to adopt the policy at their May 6 meeting. You are welcome to attend either or both meetings to listen to the discussion or to make a public comment.
