Annual Fund Drive
Thank you to everyone that has contributed to our 2015 Annual Fund Drive
You can still be part of our goal to each 100% participation by YRCS families and to reach out to community & family members
Again for the 2015-16 school year the YRCS Educational Foundation “Annual Fund Drive” (AFD) has been launched and will be concluded by late October. The AFD will be the primary opportunity for families to make a personal financial commitment in support of YRCS and our Waldorf curriculum.
Why do we ask our families to make a financial contribution to our school?
We ask for financial support in order to help better sustain our school and Waldorf curriculum. We do it for our children. There is never a shortage of financial needs in public education. Each year our school, and school business office, are in need of balancing the budget and to pay for facilities, expenses, salaries — planning for the ever-looming shortfalls the California Governor’s Office constantly juggles. We ask families to give so we can have a more successful program. While some families may have the means to do more than others, we do encourage ALL families to participate in supporting this education, which is so rich and generous, in itself, towards our families and children.
Why ask for our families to consider the inspiring, nurturing, unique aspects this education offers your child or children. There is no other school like Yuba River Charter School in Nevada County. Your children receive a deep, meaningful experience and graduate with abilities greater than the sum of the academics alone.
What is the Bliss? Appreciation? Love? that each child receives as they are held through the years by their Main Lesson classroom teacher? Give from this place of Gratitude. Give because this school has given us all incredible experiences and life-long learnings.
Your contributions help bridge this gap and keeps our school alive and well with the rich, creative Waldorf curriculum that benefits our children.
