Math Specialist

Mr. Pardini has been teaching middle school math at YRCS for about five years, bringing a strong academic background and a love for teaching to his students. He holds a Bachelor’s degree with majors in Economics and Philosophy, and wrote honors thesis papers for both disciplines. His journey into teaching was an unexpected but welcome one—after college, he realized he genuinely enjoyed working with students, and YRCS just happened to be right across the street from his old apartment! Since then, he has fully embraced the Waldorf-inspired approach to learning and the incredible students who make each day rewarding.

Mr. Pardini approaches his work with enthusiasm and efficiency, believing that the best way to do a job is to do it well. His favorite part of the day is his first two morning classes, when both he and his students are fresh and ready to shake off sleep and dive headfirst into math. A Nevada City native from Banner Mountain, Mr. Pardini enjoys reading, exercise, cooking, hiking, and leisurely afternoons at cafés. A fun fact? The first time he was stung by a bee was in Summer 2024!

One of his guiding quotes comes from Aristotle: “If you don’t know, the thing to do is not to get scared, but to learn.” If he could have lunch with any historical figure, it would be Aristotle, a philosopher whose work continues to shape his love for logic, reasoning, and the pursuit of knowledge.
