Aftercare & Electives

Ms. Pedini has been a vibrant part of YRCS for almost eight years, bringing a unique blend of skills, energy, and passion to her many roles. Whether she’s leading Aftercare, teaching electives, or stepping in as a substitute, she’s everywhere—truly a YRCS multi-tool, always ready to wear a new hat!

With a B.A. in Anthropology and Philosophy from Framingham State University, she later completed her teacher preparation program through Moreland University. She has pursued Waldorf Teacher Training at Antioch University New England and holds certifications in TEFL, Permaculture Design, and 500RYT Yoga Teaching. Before joining YRCS, she managed AmeriCorps programs focused on school gardens and farms across Philadelphia, New Mexico, and Hawaii.

Her journey to YRCS was guided by the universe—she knew she wanted to work in education but longed for a school that aligned with her diverse skills and interests. Waldorf education turned out to be the perfect fit, and YRCS quickly became home.

For Ms. Pedini, the YRCS community is the most precious gift. She cherishes the relationships she’s built with students, parents, and colleagues and loves seeing the school grow together. Her youthful sense of humor and playfulness shine through in her work, and she treasures moments spent catching up with students and sharing a laugh.

Originally from just outside Boston, Massachusetts, she now enjoys a life full of adventure locally in Nevada County. In her free time, you’ll find her gardening, hiking with dogs, swimming in the river, or playing her ukulele. A fun fact? She’s an aspiring flamenco dancer!

Her favorite book is “Be Here Now” by Ram Dass, and if she could share a meal with anyone, it would be Hanuman, the Hindu monkey deity known for his devotion, strength, and wisdom.
