Next Steps

YRCS is fully committed to providing for the nutrition and wellness needs of our students. As a small charter school, we have the challenge of providing for our meals without a district provided full service kitchen or delivery of full meals. The Nevada County Superintendent of Schools has brought together our fellow Nevada County Schools into one Food Services JPA, Community Roots, for the purpose of providing scratch meals to all students in Nevada County. We are looking forward with hope to joining in this effort, either as JPA members or as a client of their vended meals.

We will inform all families of any progress in this regard, and thank you for your patience as well as contributions that support our garden and culinary arts program growth, as well as early childhood nutrition program that we will hopefully continue to see grow throughout the grades.
