Grade Three Lead Teacher

Ms. Rainville has been connected to YRCS on and off for years and is now stepping into the role of class teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, and a Waldorf teaching certificate. Having grown up attending Waldorf schools herself, she has always felt a deep connection to this educational philosophy and a passion for working with children. Teaching at YRCS is more than just a job—it’s a way to serve the community she calls home. She strives to see each student as a whole human being, not just an academic learner, knowing that one day they will step out into the world as adults. Her approach balances being fully present in the moment with looking ahead to the future, guiding her students with both care and intention.

One of her favorite moments in the school day is reading to her students during snack and lunch, creating a shared experience of stories and imagination. Originally from Grass Valley, she finds joy in walking her dog, spending time in nature, and being with family and friends. A motto she currently lives by is “Do it for your future self.” If she could have lunch with any historical figure, it would be Ursula K. Le Guin, just to hear her perspectives on life. She is excited to bring her love of learning, teaching, and community to her students and looks forward to growing alongside them at YRCS.
