Reminder: Back to School Night is this Monday, August 14th!

 

Please come and enjoy dinner from Emily’s Catering or bring a family picnic to enjoy on the upper playground. This will be a wonderful time to reconnect with families from last school year and hopefully forge new friendships. This event is also a convenient way to take care of school related business, ensuring a smooth start to the year.

 

Activities Include:

Learn what’s ahead for YRCS from our Director, Ron Charles, during a brief presentation in the auditorium. With presentations at 4:20 and 5:20

 

  •        Get your car inspected for field trips in front of the school. Our volunteer car inspectors will be providing inspections from 4:30-5:30 in front of the school
  •         Get your FREE TB Screen from the school nurse; required for field trips and volunteering…  save $25.00 (cost at Health Department)

      Visit the PC booths to sign up for passive fundraising, learn about YRCS sports programs, pre-order your memory book, or just say hello.

 

  •       Sign up for the hot lunch program and taste test our delicious hot lunch offerings.

 

  •       Participate in the Annual Fund Drive to receive your YRCS calendar and learn about opportunities to become a member of the renewed and reinvigorated Ed Foundation.

**Bring your pledge card which was mailed out by the Ed Foundation**

 

  •       Review/complete paperwork 1) Your child’s emergency card and 2) Instrument purchase and rental for grades 4-8. 3) signup for KidSpace

 

 

  •      Stop by the Community Outreach Booth to verify you’ve completed the online volunteer survey. Complete it in advance online so we can be sure to match you with opportunities that best fit your skills and interests:                    https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NXNCHX9

 

  • Visit Sierra Harvest and learn more about their partnership with our school!

 

  • Receive a YRCS sticker and ice cream from Treats for your children when you stamp your passport at all stations

 

      What to bring

  •     -Pen and bag for your decal, paperwork, school calendar etc.
  •     -Annual Fund Drive pledge card (enclosed)

     -Car to be inspected

  •     -Checkbook for hot lunch program, KidSpace and instrument rental grades 4-8.
  •     -Water bottle and/or cup, ice water will be provided.
  •     -Blanket to spread out with a picnic or cash for Emily’s Catering ($5 per person)
  •     -A generous amount of time to relax, take care of business and enjoy yourself
  •     -Kids, this should be fun for the whole family.
