07 Aug Hello Home Study Families
Dear Home Study Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer full of fun with friends and family. I wanted to write you a quick note to touch on a few details related to beginning the year as a Home Study family.
The Oak Meadow curriculum is now available for you to pick up in the school library. This year we are asking for a deposit for the curriculum materials. In order to ensure that all of these costly curriculum materials are returned we ask that you bring a check at the time that you check out these books. Your deposit check will not be cashed – it will be placed in the safe until the materials are returned and then returned to you. When you come to check out your curriculum materials, please be sure to bring a bag to carry all of the books. If you are unable to check out your books this week, the library will be open after the Opening Ceremony as well.
As you know, Home Study classes will be expanded to include 4th grade this year. Classes will officially begin on September 5, but students and families are encouraged to attend the Opening Ceremony on August 15. Ms. Noel will be offering teacher demonstrations and individual meeting times during the time prior to the September 5 start date. Please contact Ms. Noel for details on that and to set up times to meet with her.
I am looking forward to connecting with all of you and to an exciting new school year. Enjoy your final weeks of summer, and I hope to see you at the Opening Ceremony.
Warmly,
Ron Charles
YRCS Director
