Sensory Intergration
For over a decade, Juliet Lin has brought her expertise in movement, healing, and sensory integration to YRCS, working with students from Pre-K through 8th grade. With a Master’s in Dance/Movement Therapy and a minor in Counseling Psychology, she has specialized training in The Extra Lesson, Curative Education, and Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training. Her background as a modern and post-modern dancer, choreographer, and performer informs her work, making movement a powerful tool for growth and self-awareness. Juliet’s role at YRCS is the perfect match for her passion for movement healing and her love of working with children. She takes joy in witnessing students connect with themselves and others through movement, creating an environment where they can explore their bodies, emotions, and social interactions.
Her work is deeply rooted in Body/Mind/Spirit integration, which aligns beautifully with Waldorf education’s balance of Hands, Head, and Heart. Through Sensory Integration and Developmental Movement, she helps students build body awareness, embody movement fully, develop social skills, and experience healing. She especially loves exploring animal-inspired movements and teaching the “Fab 4” Rhythmic Movements to support healthy development.
Originally from Hinsdale, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, Juliet’s lifelong passion for dance has taken her far—when she was in junior high, she performed ballet and jazz throughout Europe with a Chicago-area dance troupe. Today, dance remains an essential part of her life and work. She carries with her the wisdom of Martha Graham: “Movement never lies. It is a barometer telling the state of the soul’s weather to all who can read it.” If she could share a meal with anyone, it would be Quan-Yin, the mother of compassion—so that her tears could be held with love.
