Kindergarten

Children must have their fifth birthday by Dec. 2 of their enrollment year.  Children move on to grade one when their sixth birthday falls before spring (March/early April). Therefore some children spend one year, others two, in the kindergarten.

 

Rose & Lavender Kindergartens

5‐day, full‐time in person programs from 8:45 am – 1:45 pm
 

Sweet Pea Kindergarten

4‐day classroom based and 1 day home study, in person programs from 8:45 am – 1:45 pm

*fee-based after-school care program available

 

Yuba River Charter School has two mixed-aged kindergarten classes, the Rose Kindergarten and the Lavender Kindergarten. Infants and young children are entirely given over to their physical surroundings; they absorb the world primarily through their senses and respond in the most active mode of knowing: imitation. Imitation is the power to identify oneself with one’s environment through one’s active will. more info

 

Poppy Kindergarten

Non-classroom based Kindergarten

The Poppy Kindergarten is part of our Home Study  Program and entirely home-based.
