Paula Barber

Grade Two Lead Teacher

Mrs. Barber has been a dedicated educator for 25 years, bringing warmth, wisdom, and a deep commitment to her students. As a Second Grade Class Teacher, she creates a nurturing space where young learners grow academically and personally.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science and a Teaching Credential from Sacramento State University, along with a Waldorf Certificate from Steiner College. Her journey into education began with helping out in the kindergarten, where she discovered her passion for teaching and never looked back.

For Mrs. Barber, the community and collegiality at YRCS make it a truly special place. She approaches her work with love, ensuring that each child feels supported and valued. Her favorite part of the school day? The very beginning—when students arrive fresh, excited, and happy to be together again.

Originally from Sacramento, CA, she moved to Grass Valley at age 9, where her deep connection to nature and education continued to flourish.
