Anonymous Donor Possibilities and Procedure

We appreciate the consideration of donating larger gifts, and we promise that all gifts go directly toward the benefit of the students we serve. We value sustained practices and forward thinking planning, while also ensuring the students we serve in the present moment are at the forefront of our consciousness.

Campus tours with individual faculty, staff, and alumni families are able to be arranged, and you are of course welcome to join us at our festivals and fairs throughout the year. All levels of anonymity are honored.

We offer a high level of confidentiality. Anonymous gifts may either be made through the school business manager, or an Educational Foundation liaison.

How to Make Donations

Checks can be mailed to the above address or brought to the business office in a sealed envelope addressed to Susan Egan, Business Manager (marked Confidential).

Cash donations must be brought directly to the school and given to the business manager.

A donation receipt for tax purposes will be mailed to the donor. Donations need to include donor’s name, mailing address and telephone number.

Acknowledgement of Donors

Anonymous donors will be acknowledged as a group.

Solicitation of Donors

When a fundraising drive is launched anonymous donors may be contacted by the business manager regarding new donations.

In addition, all YRCS parents and potential donors will be contacted during the annual pledge drive, capital campaign and other fundraising events by the designated fundraising group. As the fundraising group have no knowledge of anonymous donors, anonymous donors that are parents or previous donors will also be contacted by the fundraising committee. Anonymous donors are welcome to give an additional amount through this process and will be individually acknowledged.

Internal Processing Procedure

The business manager will make the bank deposit of anonymous donations and issue tax receipt letter to donor. The business manager will notify the Ed Foundation treasurer when a deposit is made. A copy of the tax receipt will be kept by the business manager in a secure location.
