Ms. Tina has been part of Yuba River Charter School for nearly seven years, bringing a deep passion for holistic education and student well-being. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies (Earth Science Systems) and has completed the Explorations Program Online (2022), along with 12 units in Early Childhood Education. With six years of experience working with students with mild to moderate special needs and a CPI Training Certificate, she is dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment. Her love for Waldorf education stems from her interest in holistic health and whole-person learning. She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for discovery with students, approaching education through a human and environmental systems lens while integrating sensory needs into academics.

Main Lesson is the highlight of her day, where she witnesses the joy of learning in action. Outside of school, she enjoys traditional healing foods, organic gardening, dancing, and spending time in nature. She cherishes time with her husband Tim, their dog Bailey, and their cat Cookie. Santa Cruz holds a special place in her heart, as it’s where she got married and where she vacationed as a child. Her guiding belief is that life’s challenges offer opportunities for growth and transformation. Inspired by the work of Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride, she values healing through nutrition and sustainable land stewardship.
